When Hawthorne wrote Goodman Brown, he must've done it because of something. I think he wrote this story as sort of a warning to show the readers, that not everyone you know is who you really think they are. His purpose was to show how someone's perspective on someone could change so fast when they really start to pay attention to one's personality, and gain a better understanding of who they really are. Faith, Brown's wife, was aptly named, because when he met he man on the walk, Brown kept saying that he wanted to go back to Faith, which he knew that the man standing in front of him was evil, so "Faith" had a double meaning. Brown didn't want to go with the evil man and kept say that he didn't want to go with the evil man but he wanted to continue his faith. The pink ribbons mentioned over and over in the story signify that even though Goodman Brown is faced with the devil and trying to be taken his faith away, there is still a little hope for him...
There was a little tapping with your legs but overall you dressed professionally, loud and clear voice, confident and last but not least you enjoyed your time. Good Job !!
ReplyDeleteYou did amazing Erika! My favorite part of your interview was how you structured your responses. I also admire your attitude.
ReplyDeleteYou did such a good job and you seemed very confident in your responses good job!
ReplyDeleteYou did very good the only thing I would is try not saying like and um as much as you did.
ReplyDeleteGood job! There was a nice tone in your voice when responding to each question and how honest you were when talking about your relationship status with teachers.
ReplyDeleteYou had a nice tone of voice and you did seem a little nervous, but you did well! You were prepared with your answers, and you were confident in them. I did notice that you seemed to be using "like" a lot so maybe reduce that amount, but it went really well! :)
ReplyDeleteAs the interview progressed you became more elaborative with your responses. The only improvement is to avoid being repetitive with words such as "like." Other than that, well done!
ReplyDeleteYou were calm and your answers were always continuing which was good because it was long enough and your big question was interesting along with the question you asked Dr. Preston.
ReplyDeleteYou answers were very thoughtful and you incorporated the question into your answer was a really great technique. Just be careful with "umms" but overall well done!
ReplyDeleteIn your interview, in the beginning you stuttered to answer the first few questions, as the interview went on you got more comfortable. You were really confident even though you would get stumped on a few questions. The only thing I'd work on would be word repetition, "like".
ReplyDeleteAlthough, you were nervous you still managed to have amazing responses that were insightful/detailed! I really enjoyed the calm vibe of the interview! The only critique I could say is to be more confident! You are a significantly smart individual hold your head up high!
ReplyDeleteYou seemed a little nervous, but overall you did great. (:
ReplyDeleteWell within the interview and well within the beginning you started off by saying "uhmm" and "like" a lot but you corrected yourself as time went on. You had a pretty good voice along with some insight. Overall it needs some work but that was mainly due to your anxiety. Anyways, well done
ReplyDeleteYou did great! you were little nervous but still good job.
