today i interviewed an expert

Cory Doctorow is a successful author of many books. As I have been interview and was terrified the entire time, I wanted to see how an expert like Cory would act and respond in an interview. So today, we interviewed him as a class. It was nothing like how I had expected it. I was expecting him to just talk about how he became a writer and about literature, but it surprised me that he was taking about the technology now days. The following are some notes that I took while interviewing him:

• "Some day the world may be controlled by as many as 6 computers"
• Technology want really a hobby in the old days.It was invented because it was popular as was a business
• millions of websites were being invented everyday WEBSITES/ services 
• technology was weird because it was like who was it who gets to be a Tick Tock star- you just have to get luck and come u with something weird that would spark 
• overtime people have made it into a business and have become professionals but the number if tech companies have gone down 
• there is a different feeling between 20 years ago it would be be if you have an idea it would be a service where things were weird and creative existed inside services controlled by big companies
• the web experiences the same thing as everybody does
• companies weren't allowed to by other companies, it was illegal
• every single piece of eye wear is owned bu one company 
• the tech that we see in today's society is not technology- its everything else in the world
• thing are more abusive
• we've become trapped and when we try to escape,we find ourselves in another wall as so on goes the cycle
• what unifies everything is that we all care about the same things like the health of the earth and what lives in it 
• if we care about whales, we care about pipes because its all connected somehow 
• you may not wear glasses and care the the price of them has gone up by 10% but you do care that a professional wrestler is asking for help in a  website asking of pennies to help him
• all of the different groups of people are all fighting the same fight 
• technology is the nervous system of the 21st century
• if you go to a school in america, it most likely has a program that censors certain insecure websites

I also learned that hes not a pessimistic or optimistic, but a fatalist. Whatever happens, happens
