what are we learning now?

With online classes being the way we are learning, we have come a long way in a very short amount of time. We went from the education system being the same for centuries, to being completely online  in the span of a coupe of weeks.  We knew that at some point the system would change, but this pandemic really brought that idea to life. Technology is a very big factor in our lives already, it was only a  matter of time when this would happen. Although not everyone has the same privileges having internet at home most people were able to adapt. Although this new way of learning has has some positive outcomes, this really affect some families. Unfortunately, some kids really on school food as their only source of eating. With online classes thy are home all day and might not be able to eat the necessary amount.  Also, students are not as motivated to do work and complete assignments because its so easy to just no do it. Hopefully this all ends very soon and we are abl...

academy of one

Isolation. Something that we never thought we would have to adapt too in the world we live in today. Because of the very serious corona virus, this has caused us to self isolate in order to prevent us from being infected. During this time, it has affected the whole world in many different ways. For me, it has affected me in a positive way too say the least. Since we stopped going to school, I have learned many things about myself. During this time I have also gotten closer with my friends and met new people. With this pandemic going on I don't know if it is a good time to meet new people or not, because there is nothing to talk about and you can't meet up to do things,...

the right to read

Reading is possibly one of the most humble things to do. You sit down flip pages made of tree for hours, get consumed in a story, imagining characters and forgetting about your surroundings. I personally use to read all the time and took any opportunity I had to read. I really helped my school wise because it enlarged my vocabulary. If for a not so bizarre reason, the president decided to outlaw the action of reading I think it would really take a big toll on people. Reading is an amazing thing to experience and it really helps many people in different ways. We have been reading for millions of year and its part of our history. Even though technology is advancing an developing everyday, the feeling of physically holding a book and flipping the pages is really important to people. All the news we get on TV or social medias is brought up, and created so quickly it changes so fast you don't even know what's real. If someone takes the time to write and read something, then you know...

cue theme music

I think the central idea of the book is why and how far the true length Gatsby was willing to go for love. He was willing to do anything for his love to Daisy, that he even paused his own life and built his empire around her.
