  • we move away from the funeral into this Chicago setting because nick is at the funeral and is reminiscing old memories in Chicago
  • the fact that Michaelis saw Mr Wilson leave with a loaded gun
  • tom and daisy are both perfect for each other,letting other people clean up their messes 
  • on one hand he's talking about what america would've looked-amazing beautiful--- that's  what Gatsby thinks of daisy 
  • Gatsby is so close to getting daisy 
  • Daisy and Tom left their houses with baggage They are careless people
  • the american dream -if we work harder
  • Henry C Gatz showed up--- he was amazed with what Gatsby had accomplished
  • Kilpspringer only called to pick up his shoes.

  • Once in a while people still showed up t Gatsby's house thinking there was a party 
  • no matter how much we try to change what is going to happen, it is better that we go with the current because it is bigger than us 
  • in the beginning of the book, nick sees Gatsby is trembling reaching gout to a green light- it is the same light he tries to get to daisy

The thought of life after high school sometimes makes me want to cry. I mean when I was little, being and adult seemed fun! I dreamt of getting married, having kids, living in a big house with a big backyard, just living life to the fullest. But now, I have come to realize that adult life is nothing like that. You have to worry about money (if your aren't rich), bills, and it is just stressful. Although we might not want to become adults, the reality is that it is inevitable, and we have to face the reality that we have to save up some money, or else were going to be broke and homeless. I have some money saved because I have worked over the summers, but hat money slowly disintegrates by each little craving I have, and all that money we spend on things like "it's just a dollar" adds up and we end up with no money if we don't carefully save it.
